Planning unfolded in the days before the formal Event where nearly 100 would gather. Family would arrive from California, Schenectady, Florida, Greece, Syracuse and other central and upstate New York communities. Much extended family, cousins, 2nd cousins, best friends, etc., as well as other close "Kefaloniti" the Greekies from the Greek church community...
Planned into the experiences would be a formal Interview with Mr. and Mrs. Stathis by their 10 children in the family home. A video of this memorable hour as well as following candid video of the formal event gathering is available.See LINK at bottom of this page.

Tim, Ben, and Bill in the Hancock Drive Living Room. Ben at 5 years old...this would be the first time anyone had seen him except his Yia Yia who had visited Alaska already twice by then between his birth and this gathering.

Oops. This photo is a little out of place but relates to this WHOLE PAGE of the 1993 Reunion. The photo is from 1993 (Spring). Timothy was the Principal/Teacher in a 2-Room School House in a logging Camp on Prince of Wales Island in Alaska. He had 1 Senior who need Calculus. His attempt at teaching it visible in the background. Forged that Spring in communication with his mother (Yia Yia) he stated he was finally going to return to Syracuse for a visit that summer. He hadn't been back to Syracuse since having left for Alaska in 1983, a ten-year absence. Concluding the school-year, then, he headed in late May up into Alaska's Interior where he had started building his Summer A-frame home on his 5-acres of forested land the previous Summer. He worked it about a month. From there in late June he began what would become 14,000 miles of driving that Summer from the far North across the continent with Ben and his God-child, Robin, to N.Y. City to pick-up Kim and Solvej arriving from Denmark, from there first to the 1000 Islands/St. Lawrence River to a friend's wedding, then, after that 10-year absence, a return to Hancock Drive.

Blue Ridge Waterfall, 1993. In Tim's travel that summer, Tim traveled in the East with his step-children: Kim, who was 18 at the time, Solvej-Maria, who was 16 at the time, Robin, his God-child from Alaska who was 15, and Ben who was 6. On this part of the travels, Ben was actually left in the care of Yia Yia and Pa Pou in Syracuse, and Trista-Maria then accompanied Tim and the other Teens on the Blue-Ridge Mountain and Washington, D.C. part of the travels.
"I had this portion of the photo blown-up to a poster-size professional print, put it in the mailing tube and sent it to Kim in Denmark for a Chirstmas present. When I visited his tiny apartment in that memoriable set of days we shared together "Catheldral-Hopping" and attending an elaborate German Philharmonic Orchestra concert in Cologne, he had the picture-posted on the wall right above the head of his bed. That visit and 3 days of travel in Germany together was February 1996, and the last time I saw him on Earth. He passed-away as a result of a car accident 7 months later. I have carried with me moments like those depicted here each and every day of my life since." [Timothy 2026, 30-year anniversary of the tragic day of his departure from us.]
